Meet Dr. Turner-Parker, a dedicated and compassionate Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) in San Antonio who specializes in guiding patients towards optimal wellness through a holistic approach that integrates body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Turner-Parker’s journey began at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. This foundation deepened her understanding of human behavior and social dynamics, enabling her to connect with patients on a profound level. Her passion for integrative health led her to the Texas Health and Science University, where she completed a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. This intensive program included 2,625 hours of studies, a two-year clinical internship, and an advanced focus on herbology—a rare specialty that sets her apart in the field. Dr. Turner-Parker is Licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
Further enhancing her expertise, Dr. Turner-Parker attended the Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, graduating with a stellar 4.0 GPA and earning her Doctorate in Chinese Medicine.
As a nationally board-certified practitioner recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Dr. Turner-Parker adheres to the highest standards of safety, ethics, and clinical competence. The NCCAOM is the premiere organization for certifying acupuncturists, ensuring that its members meet the most stringent requirements in acupuncture, biomedicine, and Oriental medicine.
In addition to her acupuncture expertise, Dr. Turner-Parker is a licensed massage therapist, further enhancing her ability to promote healing and restore balance in the body. With her comprehensive education, clinical experience, and individualized approach, she is wholeheartedly dedicated to helping her patients alleviate pain and achieve lasting wellness.
